Announcing: Wright on Time Book Series

Announcing the Wright on Time Book Series!

WrightOnTimeBooks.com

The Wright family is taking off on an adventure of a lifetime. Living in an RV for two years, this homeschooling family is determined to make the most of their travels and have fun exploring the world together. Eleven year old Nadia and seven year old Aidan, make a tight knit sibling duo that is ready to take on the world. Their parents, Stephanie and Harrison, are always available for new explorations whether they be science, science fiction or anything else.

There are an estimated 1.5 to 2 million homeschooled children in the United States with a growth rate between 15 and 20% per year. Meanwhile modern fiction hasn’t kept up with this trend. There is an overwhelming lack of books that accurately portray the life of a homeschooling family. Homeschooled children have no fictional characters they can relate to. This is about to change with the Wright family!

My oldest daughter Zoë and I have collaborated writing this series. I’ve been writing about unschooling (and other topics) on DoLifeRight.com for the last two and a half years and have homeschooled my two daughters all their lives. I have wanted to write a children’s book since I was a child. Zoë, as a homeschooler and avid reader, understands the dilemmas other modern homeschooled children are going through. Together we have spent years reading books, trying to find any that have realistic, modern, homeschooled characters. We’ve found almost none. Our chapter books are aimed at children 7-13 years old. There are few good books for this age group, and ours will be appreciated by all kids in this group - homeschooled or otherwise. (Unless they’re weird. :) )

What you can do to help: I am actively querying literary agents. Please sign up on WrightOnTimeBooks.com to be updated on the status of this series. The larger my list, the more proof that this is a series of children’s books today’s families are looking for. A sample chapter will be available soon.
