Get Ready for the First Annual “Learn Nothing Day” on July 24th

According to Sandra Dodd, on her fantastic website: SandraDodd.com:
“Unschoolers need a holiday. When people ask if they homeschool in the summer, they say yes. When people ask when they have a break from learning, they say never. This has gone one for a long time now. July 24, 2008 will be the first (and maybe last) annual Learn Nothing Day a vacation for unschoolers, though it may be celebrated by anyone who wishes.”
I love the idea of this holiday and the spunkiness involved at envisioning it and planning it, although I can’t imagine a day going by without learning something. I think that particular task would be literally impossible, which is sort-of the whole point to this ironic holiday. My family and I will enjoy the sentiment though. I hope you and your family can, also. Enjoy!
