Vegan Kit-Kat Recipe
My older daughter saw Kit-Kats in the store recently and wondered if a vegan version existed. I looked, but couldn’t find one (their dark version still contains dairy). So, she decided to make her own version.
Zoë’s Vegan Kit- Kat Recipe:
- 2/3 box natural sugar wafers (found in health food sections of stores)
- 3 1/2 Endangered Species Chimpanzee Dark Chocolate bars
Break chocolate into pieces and melt in the microwave, stirring every 15 seconds. Dunk the sugar wafers into the chocolate, covering at least 1/2 the bar (both sides). Put on a cookie sheet covered in waxed paper. Refrigerate or freeze until hard, then dip the other side of the sugar wafer into the chocolate, making sure the entire wafer is 100% covered. Refrigerate or freeze until hard. Eat and enjoy! Recipe makes ~40 large bars.
