See “Spring in the Sonoran Desert: Yellow and Peach” for more photographs.
We’ve noticed the chollas and saguaros are blooming as well as the prickly pear cacti. Interestingly, each different kind of cholla or prickly pear has a different color flower. They are all beautiful.

My younger daughter’s Girl Scout troop (I’m their Leader) recently went hiking at Gates Pass, on the West side of Tucson, AZ. Here are some photographs. All the little green vertical lines are saguaros. Many are hundreds of years old.

My younger daughter and I joined our local Unschooling group for a really fun day at Picacho Peak at the end of January. We first went to the Rooster Cogburn Ostrich Ranch, then we picnicked at Picacho Peak State Park.

Our favorite “Children’s Fiction” Books We’ve Read in 2007:
Blueberries for Sal by Robert McCloskey, and the follow-up One Morning in Maine; These sweet stories capture Maine in its pure form. Blissfully happy, we see the girls Sal and Jane, as they go through significant milestones in their lives. I can barely get [...]

Most did not come out in 2007, we’ve just [...]

Vision Boards and Vision Boxes are becoming very popular! They are similar to Wish Lists, yet significantly deeper. Vision Boards can encompass not only our material desires, but also our deepest and innermost wishes and dreams such as “more peace” or “a magical existence”. With The Law of Attraction and “The Secret” so popular, we’re [...]

Next time you are on the market for a new painting, sculpture, or other artistic gift, check out your local artists. I keep being pleasantly surprised at the wonderful artwork that is created in and around my community. Some of my recent finds include:
Diana Madaras — canvases, prints, calendars, art tiles, and more (I [...]

In starting a blog, I did as many do: I googled myself and my websites. What did I find? Photos from Do Life Right scattered on various other sites around the world (more than a dozen countries, actually, so I’m quite flattered). In case anyone is interested, it is this photograph that is [...]
